TYPE Vi INTERCONNECT |

The Magnan Type
Vi interconnect push the thin metal wire design approach as
far as possible by using a micro-thin (.0005) highly resistive,
bronze ribbon. The sonic results are a level of transparency,
ambient retrieval, image focus and soundstage size far beyond
that of any conventional cables using relatively thick “normal”
wire. Diameter is approximately 3/8” (RCA) and 1/2”
(XLR). Maximum length is 25 feet (see our White Paper for
technical buffs). |

Update Your Type Vi's !!! |

- If you have
an older version of the Type VI, it can be updated to the
current version.
- Type Vi cables made prior to 1995 can be updated with the
improved bronze ribbon conductors incorporated in the Type
Vi in 1995 production.
- To be sure if a pair uses the older conductor, measure pin-to-pin
resistance:
- Current standard length (4 ft) Vi's measure 50 ohms.
- Older versions measure 20-24 ohms or 80-85 ohms.
- Type Vi's with the black nylon weave jacket (rather than
the monofilament expando sleeving) have the improved conductors.
- Offer good only through manufacturer.
- Applies only to Single Ended, Type Vi's.
- Cost slightly higher for longer lengths. Maximum length 6 ft.
- Call first before sending your cable for an authorization
number. |
